Being new to martial arts, and wushu in particular, I was somewhat nervous about the whole thing when I decided to come here. However after being here a while I quickly started to like the friendly and nice atmosphere everyone showed! If you come here, I am positive you will find helpful friends, and the best tutoring you could possibly get from a trainer.
Now that I am done with my trip here, I'm hundred percent positive I will return when an opportunity shows up. That being said, in the beginning the main concern for me was weather or not the school was real and had the things I'd been reading about. Planning a six month trip to China can be quite a big deal. I decided to take the leap of faith and will never regret this a single day.
In terms of training, understand that while here, training is what you do. Of course the ways of training is different from person to person, it does not matter what is your age, what is your gender or starting point if physical shape. None of this should have discouraging effect because you can be sure that when here you will train what you need in your pace while simultaneously being able to push limits further and further.
Before I came here I had a lot of experience in Parkur and Free running thinking that I could probably do a lot we would learn already. I don’t really have to say that the more I learned here, the more I learned that I knew so little. This was unlike any training I have ever done before and a lesson I'll bring back home is that all that really matters with training is not physical strength or weakness but only what willpower or discipline you have.
The academy itself is a wonderful place, with green trees in the middle of the
training and student rooms and a nice pond in the middle of it all. We have showers,
toilets and a kitchen that produces good food every day ;) My biggest of thanks to
the wonderful staff in charge of making food and taking care of the academy, the
awesome translator who has become a really good friend, and of course the super-
Masters Can and Master Bao! These guys... whaow!
In conclusion I want to say you will have the time of your life here, learning to break
bricks, go to the city and enjoy good food and meet friendly Chinese people. All this
with the wonderful friends you will find here.
